Mizpah Prayer Centre is a 24/7 interdenominational prayer and fasting center. It is a place where many people retreat or come from all walks of life to spend time with God in prayer and fasting.
Mizpah is committed to prayer, fasting, the Great Commission, and to living as watchmen to keep the fire of the alter burning. It is a prayer mountain raised up to speak to many families, church of Christ, nations and the world at large.
Mizpah is under the Leadership of Apostle Jesse Karanja who is the founding director and Apostolic Leader, with the mandate of mobilising, equipping and sending out prayer ambassadors as dedicated intercessors and evangelists who work to see revival within the Church and a harvest among those searching for God. He is also the director of Mizpah Ambassador Schools, Mizpah Apostolic School of Ministry, Mizpah School of intercessory, Mizpah Tv, Mizpah Word of Faith Mission Center-Masai Mara and other Prayer houses in Kenya such as Mizpah Naivasha, Mizpah Thika and Mizpah Gilgil.
THE 24/7 WORSHIP, PRAYER AND INTERCESSION WATCH PROGRAM
Mizpah serves a Levitical prophetic mandate of keeping the fire of the altar burning just as Moses was mandate by God in Leviticus 6:12, “The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it.”
This also defines the 24/7 Levitical culture of dwelling in the presence.
It is our desire to intensify the fire at the altar since we believe that Mizpah is a fire place where people come to be refined and revived. In reference to Exodus 29:41, an altar is a place where God meets with His people. It is the dwelling place of God. This is the reason why our commitment, dedicate on and sacrifice is to the altar. Our supreme focus is to minister to the Lord who in turn ministers to His people. Our aim is for the ministry to be Christ centered as opposed to need oriented approach.
In Leviticus 6:12, Aaron and the priests were commanded to keep the fire of the altar burning. It was the responsibility of the priest to maintain the fire at the altar. Similarly, we are called to be priests to minister before the Lord. We are therefore committed to the responsibility of keeping the fire of the altar burning through the word, worship, prayer and intercession.
THE PROPHETIC DIMENSION
In Amos 9:11, the prophet prophesied about the restoration of the Tabernacle of David. This is also repeated in Acts 15:16. The Tabernacle of David comprised of Levites, singers, gatekeepers and other people who were ministering at the altar of the Lord, 24/7. David had a longing for God’s presence always. It is this longing and passion for God that led him to introduce this 24/7 Tabernacle. Likewise, it is the zeal and passion for God’s presence that drives us to replicate what David did in his generation.
WHY NOW
We are doing this now because according to the scriptures, the gentiles were to be part of the restoration of the tabernacle. In Acts 15:16, 17 James declares that even the gentiles that are called by the name of the Lord, will participate in the restoration of the tabernacle of David.
